Accessibility
What we aim for
WCAG 2.1 level AA, on this website and in the software's own pages. We check by driving the real pages in a real browser rather than by reading the code.
What is true of this site today
- Every picture that carries meaning has alternative text.
- Every button and link has a name a screen reader can read.
- Every keyboard tab stop shows a visible focus ring, and there is a skip link before the menu.
- Nothing scrolls sideways down to a 320 pixel wide screen, or at 200% zoom.
- Every text and background pair on the page meets the AA contrast ratio, in light and in dark.
- The page language is declared and zoom is not blocked.
What is known to fall short
Checked on 31 August 2026. Three inline links in the footer area are 21 pixels tall rather than the 24 the target-size rule asks for. Inline links in a run of text are exempt from that rule, so this is noted rather than counted as a failure, and it is the only thing outstanding.
An automated check finds roughly half of accessibility problems. A clear result means nothing obvious is broken. It is not a claim of legal compliance, and it is not a substitute for somebody using the site with a screen reader.
Telling us about a barrier
Email the address on the front page, or report it on the bug tracker. Tell us the page and what happened, and which assistive technology you were using if any. We will say what we can do and when.
